PCP Aluminium promotes its ACLA5 and MAX5 Aluminum, the company’s AA5083 aluminum cast plate/block, which the company says continues to meet industry-best delivery lead times and quality performance. Inventory is available cut-to-size and delivered via PCP Aluminium’s distributors.
MAX5 is said to perform particularly well for prototype injection and thermoforming molds. It is easy to machine and highly stable. PCP Aluminium notes that MAX5 is well suited to welds and re-machining for customer revisions. Alternately, ALCA5 cast plate is used extensively for molds and mold automation systems including part assembly automation. Applications include robotic end-of-arm tooling, rotary dial plates, fixtures and more. ACLA5 and MAX5 are available up to 96.5” wide and 289” long.
