This presentation will shed light on the often overlooked—yet critical—aspect of preventative maintenance and maintaining mold temperature consistency through the lifecycle of a part's production.
DME will highlight the factors that can reduce thermal transfer over time and cause the mold temperature to stray beyond its established control limits—making it difficult to control the molding process.
Recommendations are shared on how to best maintain the thermal transfer coefficient through the implementation of specific predictive maintenance measures.

Tyler Boss has a bachelor's degree in plastics engineering from Pittsburgh State University and is a certified RJG Master Molder I and II. Today, Tyler works for DME and Milacron as a molding process engineer.
Tyler has 15 years of industry experience as both an educator and practitioner in process engineering and operational management. Through his career, Tyler has been focused on the implementation of systematic molding methodologies and new technologies.
