SW North America opens a new facility to strengthen its automotive presence, Walter and Starrag focus on aviation and power turbines, and other manufacturing news.

SW North America Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Germany-based Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH, recently opened a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in New Hudson, Michigan, with managing directors from Germany, local and county officials, and invited suppliers and customers in attendance.

According to President and CSO James Campbell, the facility will help the company to expand its foothold in the automotive market while increasing its customers in the industrial, aerospace, alternative energy, transportation, consumer products and medical sectors. Read more.
