Positive Locking Cylinder Permits Safe Locking
Hasco’s positive locking cylinder Z2302/... is suitable for use with core pulls and mold slides and enables service temperatures up to 180°C.
For high-temperature applications in compression and injection molding tools up to 180°C, Hasco has, as its latest innovation, introduced the positive locking cylinder Z2302/... with mechanical final position sensing via mechanical switches.
According to the company, this design permits safe locking of the piston rod and is suitable for use with core pulls and mold slides. The cylinder has optimized gaskets and is easy to mount, and the integrated positive locking means there is no need for a locking device on the mold. The cylinder is mounted either with the Hasco flange Z2310/... or the Hasco groove-nut set Z2311/..., which helps with fine setting.
The right mold components can help improve mold cooling and thereby produce higher-quality parts.
A process has been developed that uses a mold with two parting levels, which alternately open.
Simple cylinder calculations provide good first look comparisons for proper sizing when moldmakers are considering the most suitable side-action option early in the mold design.
