Bypass Filtration System Exceed Oil Cleanliness for Injection Mold Machines
PCS Company’s new chrome high-pressure oil filters come in three units for use with hydraulic and hybrid injection molding machines.
PCS Company has introduced a new line of chrome high-pressure oil filters (CHP), systems that are designed for use with hydraulic and hybrid injection molding machines. According to the company, this dedicated bypass filtration system exceeds industry standards, filtering down to 1 micron, and maintains cleanliness levels several grades cleaner than brand new oil. Three units are available:
- Model 2020-F with a 0.50 GPM flow rate and 20-ounce water-holding capacity
- Model 3020 with a 0.65 GPM flow rate and 24-ounce water-holding capacity
- Model 4020-F with a 1.20 GPM flow rate and 48-ounce water-holding capacity
“Maintaining oil cleanliness is critical in reducing wear in injection molding machines,” Paul Hauser, PCS product manager, says. “These oil filtration systems are perfect for molding plants, where they can be easily mounted to the machines.”
The CHP houses over 400 yards of treated cellulose tightly wound fiber that filters the oil through several inches of media. The result is maximum contaminant-holding capacity and moisture removal from the oil. Field retrofit kits are included for easy mounting to the molding machine. The CHP also features easy filter element changes; no tools are necessary. Each unit includes a shut-off valve for easy filter changes on the fly.
