State-of-the-Art Machines, Custom Manufacturing to Reduce Injection Molding Waste
NPE 2024: Sodick-Plustech, Matrix Tool and RJG are highlighting injection molding machines, custom tool and molding capabilities and an AI-powered interface, respectively.
Together, Sodick-Plustech, RJG Inc. and Matrix Tool are showcasing state-of-the-art technology at NPE 2024 that aims to reduce waste. This is achieved, for example, through Sodick’s V-Line two-stage plunger system, which harmonizes with a hybrid direct clamping system and advanced multifunctional controller, to enable ultra-precision, repeatable molding.
Sodick-Plustech is exhibiting an all-electric MS100 machine with a multi-cavity high cycle mold by Flocon Inc. The star of the show in Sodick’s booth is the new vertical, two-station, low-profile machine, the VR40G, flown in from Japan for NPE This machine is fully automated, running Polyplastics PPS material to highlight high-end insert molding of complex electronic components. Another cell will feature Sodick’s GL60A-LSR horizontal machine showcasing multi-cavity, flashless liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding, utilizing a mold and pumping units by Nexus. Also featured in the booth will be another fully automated, metal 3D additive/subtractive machine from Sodick Inc. Finally, there is Sodick’s LP20EH3 IMM, highlighting Matrix Tool Inc.’s ultra-precision fast-cycle mold using Sumitomo Chemical’s Sumika Super LCP material.
RJG is providing in-mold sensors and introducing Molding Automation Xperience (MAX), which features an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that provides step-by-step advice to help restore process to optimal performance. This intelligent AI, powered by Master Molder techniques, delivers optimal control, efficiency and quality.
