Preparation is underway and gathering momentum for Moulding Expo (MEX), the international trade fair for tool, pattern and moldmaking, which will be held at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition and trade center in Stuttgart, Germany from June 8-11, 2021. According to the event, planning has already begun and companies such as cirp GmbH (Heimsheim, Germany), EWIKON Heißkanalsysteme GmbH (Frankenberg, Germany), FKT Formenbau und Kunststofftechnik GmbH (Triptis, Germany), Fraisa GmbH (Bellach, Switzerland), and eleven others have already secured stand locations.

Moulding Expo is said to be regarded as the most important European event for the tool, pattern and moldmaking industry, and has become its main contact and exchange platform. It is noted that relevant companies, as well as their suppliers, will present the entire spectrum of production, providing potential business partners and customers with an extensive overview of the latest product developments and innovative production processes.

"Especially in view of the current challenges, Moulding Expo can boost the industry next year by bringing all players together again in one place," says Florian Niethammer, team director at Messe Stuttgart. "Interested exhibitors can now already secure their stand location without commitment—their booking will only become binding with the stand confirmation notice.”

According to previously reported MEX experiences, visitors and exhibitors alike benefit from the contact opportunities the international trade show brings to the table, due to its ability to bring so many tool, pattern and moldmaking companies together in one space. Efficiency has been an additional plus.

"Whether machine operators, managing directors, manufacturing managers or production managers, everyone comes to Moulding Expo. The trade fair offers a very broad spectrum in the field of tool and moldmaking, but also 3D printing," says Udo Hipp, Maschinenfabrik Berthold Hermle AG.

Similar to its past events, parallel events will also be staged again in 2021—n addition to the Plastic Products Forum of GKV TecPart and the Automotive Shows of UKi Media & Events, visitors to Moulding Expo 2021 will also be able to take advantage of different synergies at CastForge, the trade fair for castings and forgings with processing.
