Theme presentation Jewellery, Partner Country Austria

Share

The 19th EuroMold, World Fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development, will take place Nov. 27 – 30, 2012.  The show expects about 1,500 exhibitors from 45 countries and approximately 60,000 trade visitors. With the partner country Austria and many innovative special shows EuroMold once again will present several highlights. In addition, the number of first-time exhibitors promises a very successful exhibition.

EuroMold shows in halls 8, 9, 11 and the “Galleria” the latest developments in all areas of product development on an area of 75,000 m². This year’s highlights being the partner country Austria, theme presentation “Jewellery industry” as well as high-class conferences and forums.

The unique EuroMold fair concept “From Idea to Prototype to Series Production” clearly illustrates the entire process chain. Here all parties involved in product development will be united – from designers, to moldmakers, machine tool producers, and subcontractors to users. Core areas at EuroMold are of course Moldmaking and Tooling as well as Rapid Prototyping, Patternmaking and Prototypes, CAD/CAM, Simulation/VR, Machine Tools and Tools, Engineering and Design.

Large attendance from abroad
As per today (July 1, 2011) EuroMold has increased the number of first time exhibitors. Six months before the show 64 exhibitors have already registered. That makes an increase of 12.2 percent compared to last year. Next to Germany (48.4 %), it is Italy (10.9 %), Austria, Portugal (both 6.3 %), France, Turkey and Korea (each 4.7 %) who are well represented in this category.

Partner Country Austria
EuroMold dedicates its selection of partner country 2012 to the economic importance for Germany especially in the areas of product development and mouldmaking & tooling. The partner country will be represented at EuroMold 2012 with many prestigious companies and with trade associations and research institutions. For Austrian perspective Germany is by far the most important trading partner. In addition to machine tools, Austria also generates 13 billion Euros in the plastics sector.

Highlights and Special topics
EuroMold 2012 presents for the first time the theme presentation Jewellery industry. It illustrates the entire process chain of the jewellery manufacturing from the design to Rapid Prototyping to casting. EuroMold is traditionally an important international platform, because all the necessary technologies and services of the process chain are represented at the exhibition. Also due to the increased importance of the generative process (3D printing) and their involvement in the manufacture of jewellery, the importance of EuroMold in this sector has risen even further. In addition, EuroMold 2012 presents theme presentation rotational molding and thermoforming for the first time.

Hall 11 = ‘House of Creation’
The new, modern hall 11 becomes ‘House of Creation’, another highlight at EuroMold 2012. ‘House of Creation’ will comprise the sectors ‘design + engineering’, ‘Materials’, ‘Simulation + VR’ and ‘Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing’.  In addition, the ‘design + engineering forum’ will take place during all four days of the exhibition. Apart from this EuroMold has already established itself for years as the biggest and most important market place for additive manufacturing (Rapid X technologies) in Europe.

International conferences, forums and workshops
In 2012, EuroMold highlights several international conferences as well as numerous forums and workshops, with their importance as international contacts, innovation and technology exchange.  The international “Wohlers conference” will be taking place at EuroMold for the 14th consecutive time. Furthermore, EuroMold 2012 presents tradionally the four-day “design + engineering forum” in hall 11.0 with sessions on “Design + Engineering”, “Simulation + VR”, “Rapid Prototyping”, and “Industrial Design”. The participation in this forum is free of charge for the EuroMold visitors. In addition, further conferences are planned on Design and Photonics.

Attractive framework programme
The EuroMold Exhibition Party will take place on Wednesday November 38, 2012. In the course of the Exhibition Party the renowned EuroMold AWARD will be bestowed. On November 29, 2012, our popular Designer Night will be celebrated in hall 11.
