Midway through my week of IMTS wanderings, I have noticed a number of companies sharing booth space. It is refreshing to see companies that specialize in different aspects of moldmaking unite with a common goal to save mold manufacturers time and money.
A great example lies in Booth E-5504. FARO, a company that develops and markets computer-aided measurement and imaging devices and software, and Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, a manufacturer of CNC coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and complete solutions for multidimensional metrology, have joined forces. They are showing a live demonstration of a robot-mounted scanning solution, featuring the FARO Laser Tracker and AMP, presented by Variation Reduction Solutions (VRSI).
