Tungaloy is augmenting its SolidMeister solid carbide end mill series with the 0.3-mm small-diameter end mills and its high-performance AH8005 grade to provide advanced precision, stability and tool life in demanding high-hardness material machining applications.
The company says the SolidMeister series is engineered to enhance machining efficiency, stability and tool life across a broad range of industries, including mold and die, aerospace and medical components. With optimized geometries and advanced PVD coatings, these new tools are designed to provide superior performance in high-speed and high-feed milling applications.
The 0.3 mm small-diameter end mills are designed for ultrafine precision machining, delivering excellent sharpness, stable cutting and superior surface finishes. The AH8005 Grade is a wear-resistant, high-hardness PVD-coated grade, optimized for machining hardened steel and heat-resistant alloys. It is said to offer outstanding tool life and oxidation resistance at high cutting speeds.
Together, the end mills and AH8005 grade can deliver extended tool life as the high-performance coatings reduce wear and improve stability in high-speed applications. They also afford excellent chatter resistance as the variable pitch and helix designs ensure smooth cutting and minimize vibration. They also enable reduced machining time and high feed capabilities to increase productivity, making them well suited for precision component manufacturing.
Tungaloy added these small-diameter end mills and the AH8005 grade to enable manufacturers to set new benchmarks in efficiency, accuracy and reliability for high-performance machining.
