Sequential Valve Gate Controller Made More Intuitive for Moldmakers
The Model T-700 from Orycon Hot Runner Systems improves setup options, zone availability, programming and editing and a host of other features for a more user friendly system.
Orycon Hot Runner Systems announces enhancements to its Model T-700 hydraulic sequential valve gate controller which reportedly make it more intuitive and user friendly for moldmakers.
The T-700 features a 10" touchscreen with high-resolution graphics and is available in models from eight to 24 zones. Trip points for opening and closing the valve gates can be entered by sliding markers across the screen or by entering the desired timing or position via a pop-up keypad.
Each zone can now be operated up to 12 times per injection cycle, said to expand the control ability of the sequencer. Moreover, accuracy is 0.01 seconds when operating based on time and 0.01% of screw travel when operating in position mode.
According to the company, signals from the press, such as Injection Start, Pack and Hold, Position Transducer, Dry Contacts and Alarms, can be utilized by the T-700, giving the operator a wide choice of setup options.
Programming and editing recipes are improved over PLC type controllers, and the unit can save and recall thousands of programs. An on-board manual can also be called up on screen should the operator have a question on how to implement a function.
