Milltronics USA Inc. highlights its latest step in the continued evolution with the release of its first true five-axis machining center, the VM250IL-5X.
The VM250IL-5X features a 10-inch trunnion table and XYZ axis travels measuring 30 × 20 × 20.52 inches. The rotary table offers +30/-110 degrees of A-axis rotation and 360 degrees in the C-axis. The machine is equipped with a 12,000-rpm (15,000-rpm optional), inline, BIG-PLUS spindle. A 40-station, swing-arm ATC comes standard.
The capabilities stem from Milltronics’ INSPIRE+, which enhances the user interface and improves surface finish and cycle times. The new control also provides faster and complete simulation for complex parts, industry 4.0 and IoT support, and enhanced customer service capabilities that include remote troubleshooting and diagnostics. INSPIRE+ is also built for growth; it supports new machine technologies, including five-axis and live-tooling lathes, and was designed with an open architecture for future developments.
