Harbour Results, AutoForecast Solutions Release Battery-Electric Vehicle Market Study
The study analyzes the transition from an industry dominated by the internal combustion engine to battery-electric mobility and its impact on the supply chain, which will have ripple effects from automakers to tool and die shops.
Harbour Results Inc. (HRI) has collaborated with AutoForecast Solutions (AFS) to develop “Electrifying Mobility: BEV Impact on the Automotive Supply Chain,” a market study that looks at the automotive industry’s electrification transformation and its impact on all automotive suppliers, from Tier 1 to Tier 3.
“The effects of this BEV transformation will ripple through the industry from automakers to suppliers, service provider and tool and die shops. And the implications are noteworthy — as with any significant change, there will be winners and losers,” Laurie Harbour, president and CEO, HRI, says. “This study provides data and information companies need to make informed business decisions and plan for the future.”
The 200-page study contains a plethora of data, analysis and insight, including key market dynamics, regulatory and infrastructure issues, automaker BEV strategies, future technology requirements, financial implications, and vehicle and tooling forecasts.
“Although we believe BEV adoption will take longer than what the automakers have articulated, more will happen in the next 5 years than that has happened in the past 20 years,” Joe McCabe, CEO and president, AFS, adds. “Companies need to act now to be prepared for the future. Arming yourselves with accurate data can help you get a strategic advantage on your competitors.”
HRI and AFS have been working together since 2021, providing industry forecasts, data and insight to small to medium manufacturers in North America via Harbour IQ — a manufacturing intelligence tool that collects, analyzes and distributes data to the North American manufacturing industry. Together, the companies provide a resource to those within the automotive supply chain and investment community.
Interested parties can purchase the study, which includes a one-hour discussion with HRI and AFS experts, at bevstudy.com.
