The American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) wrapped another annual conference on May 9, 2025, with nearly 200 mold manufacturing professionals gathering in Grand Rapids, Michigan for three days of impactful education, meaningful connection and industry inspiration.

This year’s conference welcomed more than 50 first-time attendees, a testament to the growing energy surrounding the event and the continued momentum of the mold manufacturing community, especially in a post-COVID landscape where connection matters more than ever.

The program featured high-caliber keynote presentations from industry thought leaders Troy Nix, Bill Stainton and Joe Roberts. Attendees also gained valuable insight during sessions such as an advocacy update from Omar Nashashibi, Inside the Beltway Solutions and via an economic trends forecast from Michael Feuz of ITR Economics. New in 2025, AMBA proudly introduced the AMBA Champion Pin, a prestigious member recognition program honoring the most engaged members of the association, signifying an emphasis on personal and professional development, as well as each company’s commitment to resource allocation.

Throughout the three days, attendees participated in dynamic breakout sessions covering topics such as AI in automation, EDM and aerospace point-of-entry opportunities, continuous improvement strategies and modern lead generation strategies. Roundtable discussions, receptions and targeted programming for emerging leaders — including a pre-conference session, networking lunch, and peer roundtable — ensured that attendees of all experience levels left with actionable insights and expanded networks.

“The 2025 AMBA Conference was more than an event — it was a catalyst for growth, collaboration and innovation in the mold building industry,” says Kym Conis, AMBA’s managing director.

“This year’s energy was unmatched, and we’re proud to be building a community that is stronger and more united with each passing year,” adds Conis.

For those who missed the 2025 AMBA Conference, the message is clear: don’t make the same mistake twice.
