Matsuura Machinery Appoints Mike Bruegger to Application Engineer Position

Mike will train and support distributor engineers and Matsuura customers in the operation and troubleshooting of all company machining centers, support five-axis automated manufacturing solutions.

In February, Matsuura Machinery USA Inc. (St. Paul, Minnesota) an innovator in the design, development and manufacture of high-precision manufacturing solutions for more than 80 years, announced the appointment of Mike Bruegger as application engineer.

“Mike brings a wealth of engineering expertise and a valuable skill set to support Matsuura’s substantial growth in five-axis automated manufacturing solutions,” says Shawn Buboltz, VP technical services.

Bruegger will train and support distributor engineers and Matsuura customers in the operation and troubleshooting of all Matsuura machining centers for machine software, machining applications, cutting conditions, control functions and FANUC five-axis functions. Bruegger also reportedly has considerable experience with various roles in CNC machining, engineering, manufacturing, project management and customer support, and earned a Machine Tool Diploma and CNC Programming Certificate from St. Paul Technical College.

Matsuura application engineers also perform time studies, test cuts, CAM and manual programming, create CAD models, setup and execute machine cutting demos for both showroom machines and technical workshops/open houses, as well as troubleshoot machine functions and Matsuura software.
