At IMTS, Charmilles will display the ROBOFIL 640cc, the latest and largest EDM to take advantage of the CC generator. The machine features axis travels of X (U) 31.5” x Y (V) 21.7” x Z 19.7”. Also demonstrated will be ROBOFIL 240cc’s recently unveiled Turn while Burn technology. To best meet the varied demands of today’s medical manufacturers, Charmilles developed the ROBOFIL 240 Med-Pack wire EDM. The machine contains all of the core features necessary to meet demands specific to the medical industry in the areas of accuracy, surface integrity, part cleanliness and repeatability. The ROBOFIL 2050 TW provides high speed, improved surface finish and unsurpassed accuracy to the Top End Wire class of EDM. The machine works with two spools of wire, ranging from 0.02 mm (0.00078”) to 0.33 mm (0.013”) in diameter. On the diesinking side of the equation, Charmilles will be demonstrating the ROBOFORM 550? GammaTEC. The booth also will contain the company’s standard setting ROBOFORM 350, used to showcase the new Accura-C, and the HD 30CNC hole drilling EDM and Brother HS-70AM wire EDM.
