Tebis America was awarded first place in the Best of Consulting Mittelstand 2018 Competition. The award recognized the company in the competitive strategies category. The company submitted its work in the repositioning of Formbar AG project for evaluation.

The original focus of Formbar AG was in foundry model making, but because of the market the industry became challenging. The manufacturer was confronted with a shortage of qualified personnel, decreasing utilization of workfloor space and complex processes. After an analysis, Tebis Consulting worked with Formbar to develop a market strategy.

In addition to management consulting, existing processes were improved through consulting. Standardization and automated programming were introduced along with training, coaching and parallel implementation, which doubled the machine run time with the same personnel. Formbar sales were increased by 70 percent and profit by 40 percent.

Annually, the Wirtschaftswoche journal organizes the project competition for medium-sized companies. An advisory board and jury evaluate projects in ten categories. They review the project success of the consulting companies and evaluate them based on the criteria of technical and communications, actual impact and customer satisfaction.
