RJG Announces 2023 Qualified Trainer of the Year
Craig Potthast of Central Community College is recognized for his dedication to a molding education.
RJG recognizes Craig Potthast, plastics trainer at Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska, as the 2023 Qualified Trainer of the Year. This award is presented to the RJG qualified trainer who instructs the highest number of students each year. Winners are eligible once every three years. The prize includes an award, four eLearning bundles valued at more than $5,000 and RJG merchandise.
RJG’s Train the Trainer program is designed for those committed to instructing others in their organization based on the Master Molder training. Those who successfully pass the program will have the title of qualified trainer and are then eligible to teach Injection Molding Essentials, Fundamentals of Systematic Injection Molding, Decoupled Molding workshop, Successful Strategies for Tool Launch and Part and Mold Design for Injection Molding within their organization.
Priscilla Newman, commercial operations manager at RJG, acknowledged the dedication of the Qualified Trainers, stating, “This recognition is a testament to their hard work and dedication to both RJG and their students. We aim to honor those who actively contribute to RJG’s mission of empowering the plastics industry.”
“I humbly accept this honor from RJG,” Craig Potthast, recipient of the award, says. “Their support has been invaluable since I began my plastics career at Central Community College five years ago. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my supervisor, Doug Pauley, and colleagues, Karl Anderson and Melissa Wortmann. I look forward to continuing the growth of our program with Karl Anderson and RJG’s guidance and support.”
