Rego-Fix and Schenck Corp. have collaborated on the Tooldyne balancing machine with an integrated measuring station and control system for accurate balancing of a range of toolholders. The permanently calibrated machine eliminates the need for calibration runs, enabling operators to quickly achieve fine balancing and high-precision results while increasing productivity, the companies say.
The machine features a compact mineral-casting housing said to dampen vibrations more effectively than grey cast iron and make the machine less sensitive to outside interference. It is also easy to operate, offering a laser-marked spindle scale for accurate positioning and easy-to-understand touchscreen displays for quick, simple and direct input of all data.
