The company’s forge shop consists of three presses ranging in size from 1,500 to 8,000 tons and is fed by a 110-ton electric arc furnace (EAF).  Capable of producing more than 300,000 tons per year, the melt shop consists of the EAF, a ladle metallurgy furnace, a vacuum are re-melt furnace, and a vacuum degassing and vacuum oxygen decarburization tank. The melt shop produces ingots ranging in size from 22" to 100" in diameter with typical grades of steel ranging from carbon to medium alloy. Current Finkl mold steel product lines includes MD, HH P-20, MLQ, Premium H13 HPQ, 4140 holder block and Marx.
