National Tool & Manufacturing has partnered with NLMK-Verona to offer VR Stainless, a new grade of pre-hardened tooling steel suited for holders, plates, dies, and plastic and rubber mold applications. Compared with other stainless materials, this grade is said to offer higher ductility, reducing plate cracking and stress fractures; improved machinability; consistent hardness; improved corrosion resistance; and enhanced thermal conductivity.

NLMK-Verona, an integrated steel mill located in northern Italy, has added VR Stainless to its existing VR Series of VR P20 and VR Holder.
