Materiion Brush Performance Alloys (Cleveland, OH) offers MoldMAX V®--a high strength, high conductivity mold and tooling copper-based alloy for the plastics market. MoldMAX V is a copper nickel silicon chrome alloy, which will have characteristics similar to that of MoldMAX LH. MoldMAX® V has a hardness of 30 HRC and thermal conductivity approximately four to five times greater than P20 tool steel. Keeping true to form, the characteristics of MoldMAX V, like the entire family of MoldMAX alloys, have proven successful in decreasing cycle time and improving part quality. For more than 20 years, Brush Wellman has been committed to bringing high thermal conductivity and uniform cooling to the plastics market.
