Moldmaker Adds Second Illinois Facility

National Tool & Manufacturing has opened a new facility in Elgin, Illinois, to meet demand for increased capacity and expanded offerings of tight-tolerance mold bases.

National Tool & Manufacturing has opened a new facility in Elgin, Illinois, to meet demand for increased capacity and expanded offerings of tight-tolerance mold bases. The company manufactures custom mold bases, and offers a variety of tool steel products and services. The 30,000-ft.2 temperature-controlled facility also boasts new equipment, including a Kitamura bridge mill.

While this new location will focus primarily on plate machining and mold base production, the existing Wheeling, Illinois, facility will continue with steel services and processing.
