ToolingDocs (Booth 120) has released MoldTrax 6 (MT6), the latest version of its software designed specifically for tracking the performance and maintenance of molds and dies. New features include “Inventory Monitoring,” which allows the user to quickly see how many parts are left in stock; a “Hot Runner Specs” tab in the TechTips section that gives users quicker access to manifold maintenance and repair instructions, images and specifications of the system; a “Maintenance Alert” report that enables the user to see the status of preventive maintenance (PM) on molds currently in production; a “Performance Dashboard” that shows the current ratio of scheduled to unscheduled mold stops, as well as the number of molds currently in production and their PM status.

On Thurs., June 12, the company will host the Maintain block at amerimold, where Operations Manager Steve Johnson will moderate a panel of industry leaders who will discuss a variety of topics, including: how much unscheduled mold stops can cost a company; how to identify and target these and other high-cost mold operating issues such as part quality, mold function, tooling and labor costs; and how a substandard maintenance environment can dictate bench habits and influence a team.
