Single Source Technologies FCS modular clamping system (Breyl) is designed to provide quick, custom setup options for unrestricted access to five workpiece surfaces, enabling moldmakers to spend less time on setups and more time on machining. This translates into higher machine utilization and lower costs, the company says.

The system is said to provide precision modular setup adjustments within 5 microns with permanent zero reference points for easy change-overs. Optional Guideline software provides virtual design of FCS workholding systems based on the CAD model of a workpiece.
