Spring Technologies will demonstrate the mobile system it has developed for its flagship NCSimul Machine simulation software and Player 9.1 reviewer. WYSIWYC (What You See Is What You Cut) is designed to link machine operators and managers directly to CNC machines on the shop floor and enable them to remotely execute programs in real time using intuitive touch controls. At IMTS, Player 9.2 will be embedded on a Panasonic Toughpad IP65 tablet to show how it is connected to machine tool controllers such as FANUC CNCs. 3D animations of machining processes as well as related work instruction sheets are directly accessible from the mobile application.

According to the company, WYSIWYC offers realistic previews of the machining process and real-time 3D simulation of machines and machining, showing what is actually being cut and what operations are currently in progress. The functionality also can be extended to DNC machine status monitoring, ERP and MRP.
