Synventive Molding Solutions will present its latest products and introduce a broadened line of Thermoplay hot runners, as well as showcase activeGate tool-based molding technologies such as valve-pin-position sensing, which monitors and controls melt flow within the mold. According to the company, benefits of this flow-control technology include superior part-surface finishes; the ability to mold parts with complex geometries and high dimensional stability; higher production rates with faster start-ups and decreased scrap; and the ability to monitor, diagnose or control from outside the machine.

The SynCool3 option provides passive actuator cooling via thermal conductors that make contact with top clamp plate. No cooling plates, lines or water plumbing is required for most applications. Benefits include preheat without damage to actuator or seals; no clogged cooling lines; and improved manifold temperature uniformity.
