Verisurf Software will demonstrate a new scanner option designed to complement its Master3DGage, a portable, rapid, 3D-inspection and reverse-engineering solution that enables shops to increase production and improve part quality. The non-contact laser scanner is easily interchangeable with tactile probes on the coordinate measuring machine, expanding application flexibility between contact probing used in many inspection processes and high-speed, non-contact 3D scanning, typically used in reverse engineering.

The associated Verisurf software includes performance and productivity tools designed to maximize scan data related to reverse engineering and inspection. Speed Menu options for point cloud and mesh objects greatly reduce the time necessary to scan, align and inspect part data.  High-definition display of point clouds with shading enhances fine details of scans as the data is collected. The software analyzes and displays large scan data at a rate of 1 million points per second in real time.
