JG&A Metrology Center has increased its in-house capabilities to offer computed tomography (CT) scanning inspection services capable of obtaining 1-micron resolution for micro-parts. The company says it is now able to accurately measure difficult and internal dimensions as small as 5 micron in size by obtaining a scan resolution of 1 micron. It will be highlighting its services in Booth 876 at Plastec West.

According to JG&A, industrial CT technology can be an extremely cost-effective inspection solution for micro-parts. After the initial scan has been performed, the company provides analytical services including porosity/void analysis, assembly analysis (internal inspection), part-to-part comparisons, part-to-CAD comparisons, reverse engineering, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
