The DMP307 grade for APET inserts is designed for high-speed machining of most steels. Coated with high-temperature AlTiN PVD coating, it is said to provide a blend of toughness and wear resistance. The grade is recommended for both roughing and semi-finishing applications in all steels, ductile irons and many grades of stainless steel. The company also offers a line of economical APET and XPET inserts featuring a high positive cutting geometry for aggressive material removal rates and low horsepower consumption. The APET inserts can be used for most steels and cast irons. The XPET inserts can be used for nonferrous materials.
