At NPE2015, Athena Controls will demonstrate its Bedros and RMB Series hot runner controls powered by ThingWorx. Bedros is designed for medium-sized, multi-zone runnerless applications that require 8-64 zones of control. The RMB Series non-modular hot runner controls are designed to provide affordable temperature control for 1-12 zones.

ThingWorx is an application development platform. Athena recently became a “Powered by ThingWorx” partner, enabling it to rapidly develop custom software applications that connect controls to servers and the cloud. According to the company, this gives the controls advanced communications functionality, enterprise application integration, mobile device/Web 2.0 access, visualization and actionable events. It also means that molders can control all their equipment from one screen or tablet, eliminating the need for multiple controls with LCDs.
