YCM Americas, Inc. has introduced the new H630B horizontal machining center for high production environments requiring high accuracy. Incorporating an oversize roller-type guideways design, YCM claims the H630B can increase rigidity up to 260 percent. A Y-axis dual drive system also controls vibration as headstock is driven at the center of gravity to optimize the quality of machined surfaces, accuracy, machining time and tool life while machining at high speeds.

The H630B HMC is equipped with a circulated oil jacket cooling system for three axis motor seats and ball screw nuts. This technology insulates the machine from heat resources to reduce thermal deformation, providing high and stable machining accuracy.

A one-piece T-base foundation with rib construction offers unprecedented rigidity, high geometrical accuracy and optimum structure behavior. Step X-axis guideways with slant bed design are positioned at different heights to increase stable and reliable rapid axial movement. Column height can be reduced without affecting rigidity to achieve higheracceleration performance.

The H630B HMC is offered with 40, 60 and 120 tool magazine system options providing three second tool-to-tool and six second chip-to-chip changes. All models include patented spindle cooling with a Micro Oil air lubrication design to minimize thermal deformation for high-precision machining.
