(Lorain, OH) offers this VMC, which is specifically engineered for heavy cutting applications. Features include: generous capacity (48” x 28” x 25” XYZ travels); 20-hp spindle with 2-speed gearbox head provides full power at 305 rpm; highly rigid thanks to four square box ways on the Y axis; stable cutting on the large, fully supported table with zero overhang; highly productive machine delivers fast rapids of 944 ipm; and, sports standard features others offer as options. Beefy Class 3 ballscrews, measuring 1.57” (40 mm) in diameter, feature a double-nut preloaded design. A Fanuc OiM-C control is standard with Manual Guide Oi conversational programming, Custom Macro B, coordinate system rotation and front-panel PCMCIA card slot for up to 2 GB storage.
