In this operation, parts are loaded into a basket and lowered into a cleaning tank where fluidized sand at a temperature of 800-850°F scrubs, vaporizes and burns off leftover organic material without damaging or warping the workpieces. Removal of plastic and contaminants from molds results in decreased molding downtime and greater efficiency, the company says.
