The FP-55A is a high speed die mold machining center with the latest linear motor technology. This new machining center incorporates a 30,000-rpm integral spindle motor with a spindle cooling design. It also has the new Fanuc 3li CNC control with a high speed 64-bit RISC processor, Nano-HPCC 3D-contouring function and the newest HRV 4 Servo technology. The linear motor is designed with a multi-layer cooling design that assures minimal heat distortion from constant high speed rapids of 60 m/min. Also, the rigid body structure is designed to handle the acceleration rate of 1.2 G. The 20" × 20" × 10" travel can be used for high precision mold, electronic and medical parts. Also on display is the DCV-series, which is a double column VMC. With 30 hp, a 4,000-rpm spindle and an isolated two-speed gearbox design, the spindle offers the maximum spindle torque output while isolating the heat generated by the gearbox from the spindle. This minimizes the thermal growth of the spindle. The headstock is supported by three roller type guideways at the Y-axis to ensure high rigidity when the headstock is near the table. The company says the X-axis is supported with oversized roller guides and ballscrews to support the heaviest cutting capability. The 120" × 63" × 30" travel can handle oversized die mold, industrial and aerospace parts.
