Custom machine manufacturer Tarus showcases the DHDM line of deep-hole drilling and milling machines, purposely designed to handle large injection molds and die-cast dies. Their functions include gundrilling, BTA drilling, as well as CNC milling, tapping and thread milling.
Features include dual spindles — one for dedicated gundrilling/BTA and a second spindle for milling functions. An optimized column design and bearing span rigidity results in straighter holes and improved drilling tool life. Moreover, a new electronic servo-controlled scroll pump provides low-volume control and compatibility with oil and high-emulsion water-based coolant.
Machine options include the DHDM three-axis with drilling and milling; DHDM.R with an added rotary table; and DHDM.R.I with a rotary table and inclined drilling ±15 degrees (it can carry about 60 tons). A full enclosure is available
