The VM900 VMC combines the technologies of the VM and MCV series. By using a rigid cast iron body to support the large square guides and incorporating static pressure sliding surface technology, the center produces precise results. The machine feeds a 6,600 lb workpiece at 394 ipm by integrating large core chilled ballscrews, high horsepower servos and the company’s Soft Scale III. The center delivers 81.1" × 37.01" × 32.28" (X, Y, Z travels) and a variety of 50-taper spindles (4,500/6,000/8,000/12,000-rpm) with a maximum available torque of 907 foot-pounds. The company says it is standard with a full enclosure and three coil conveyors to efficiently contain and move the chips to the rear of the machine.
