RobbJack’s DM/MDM die/mold series carbide end mills feature a carbide material and coating combination designed to last longer than comparable combinations for hard metal applications and to reduce wear. According to the company, tests were conducted in 58-HRC D2 steel, pitting tools with comparable carbide/coating combinations against the DM/MDM end mills. RobbJack says its tools outperformed every other tool with a smooth wear land of only 0.0025". The tools are designed to provide high precision, dry cutting ability, reduced cycle times, tighter tolerances and better finishes.
