The Awea SP2016 bridge is a powerful high-speed die and mold machining center that is ideal for high precision machining requirements. Its unique head design ensure that the twin hydraulically counter weight cylinders are symmetrically aligned, thus assuring machining accuracy. Available in 40 and 50 taper. Extra heavy-duty, high precision preloaded guideways have a low friction coefficient of 0.003 to 0.005, thus providing a low stick-slip and a high thrust force. This in turn provides excellent dynamical movement accuracy while saving more than 40 percent in energy consumption. A 19 tool dual are ATC is standard for 40 taper and 32 ATC for 50 taper. It features a Fanuc 18i-MB 64-bit nano type controller with a risk card. It has a 35-hp motor with a spindle speed of 15,000 rpm for 40 taper. For extreme accuracy machining, Heidenhain glass scales are installed on the X, Y and Z axes for the SP2016 HSS model.
