DMG MORI will unveil the latest version of its Celos app-based control and operating software package at EMO 2015, as well as a PC version. According to the company, the app-based system enables consistent management, documentation and visualization of order, process and machine data. It also is designed to simplify, standardize and automate machine operation. This newest version, which will be available in April, offers 16 different apps, including five new ones: Pallet Changer, Service Agent, Tool Handling, Job Scheduler and Messenger. Similar to the operation of a smartphone, the system’s app menu provides users with direct access to all available applications.

The PC version of the software is designed to enable users to optimally plan and control production processes during the production engineering phase and to monitor all machines. It also offers the option of incorporating any machine or equipment in an integral Celos periphery, the company says.
