Another Amerimold Expo Is In the Books

Amerimold 2019 delivered great content and enthusiastic exhibitors.

It is hard to believe, but another Amerimold Expo has come and gone. To me, the build-up to the show is like Christmas, with much anticipation and preparation, and then it is over before you know it. From what I gathered talking to exhibitors who were there, it was a great show. I agree.

This Amerimold celebrated its 20th anniversary serving the North American moldmaking industry. We thank everyone who has supported the event since the first time it was held, and we thank those who joined us along the way.

Exhibitors were enthusiastic about the show, saying that Amerimold was the place to be if one wanted to reach the moldmaking market. The show is more focused, personal, welcoming and valuable. It provides the best forum for connecting with customers and peers. Amerimold is fun, they say. There is no denying it. One of the most fun aspects is celebrating the new Leadtime Leader shop. This year it was X-Cell Tool and Mold. What a great group of people. We congratulate them!

Amerimold 2019 was familiar on many levels, including more than 200 exhibitors, relevant Tech Talk Theater sessions and informative in-booth demonstrations. But Amerimold also brought a few new things for attendees to do and see, including Tool Shop Live, where exhibitors offering products and services related to mold repair and maintenance simulated a tool room and demonstrated the latest products available for each step of the process. An additive manufacturing workshop for plastics was held on day two and the show concluded with a first-ever keynote presentation by Dr. Gerald Grant, a leading innovator in additive manufacturing in the medical field, who used his extensive experiences working with NASA, the military and world-renowned medical institutions to share valuable insight into additive manufacturing’s future role in the moldmaking industry. Another first was the Sourcing Fair, which enabled three OEM manufacturers to meet with and interview moldmaking companies that wanted to build molds for them. It is another way to help connect people in the industry and we feel it was a great success.

A roaring 20’s themed networking party, complete with cigar rolling, dueling pianos, plenty of food and beverages to refuel guests and a fun-filled Family Feud game brought everyone together in style. The variety of Wanted posters featuring many familiar faces from the industry were hilarious and appreciated by all.

Watch for more in-depth coverage of Amerimold in the coming days.

We cannot wait for Novi in 2020!
