As Okuma America Corporation’s new controls product specialist, Brad Klippstein is responsible for educating and training customers and distributors on the company’s open-architecture THINC-OSP CNC control.

Designed for reliability and ease of use, the CNC enables access to almost any application and peripheral equipment, including factory management systems, the company says. It interfaces with bar code readers, barfeeders, robots, probes and tool setters to help streamline production.

Klippstein previously worked as a controls engineer programming and integrating Fanuc 31i lathes and most recently as a supervisor of CNC control and electrical design engineering providing technical and training support to engineering, sales and service.

“Brad has a wealth of experience and knowledge as a controls programming engineer helping customers improve their efficiencies. We look forward to the impact he is going to make for Okuma teaching our distributors and customers how to leverage the advantages of an OSP control,” says Wade Anderson, Product Specialist Sales Manager.

Klippstein holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo. He has several years of experience in the manufacturing industry working with machine tool controls, and he will be based out of Charlotte, NC.
