In its third year, Moulding Expo 2019 was the centerpiece of the German and European tool, pattern and mold making industry. Around half of the exhibitors came from core industry areas, and during the trade fair, they were able to exchange information and experiences with customers and suppliers, as well as industry colleagues.

Moulding Expo is a well-established leading meeting point for the industry. According to the CEO of Messe Stuttgart, the objective is to bring people together, which has been successfully achieved at this year’s event, especially due to the international accompanying program. Visitors were able to spend time at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, which is geared towards the needs of the industry.

Moulding Expo’s importance is expanding internationally. Around 12,943 trade visitors from 59 countries saw the products and services from 705 exhibitors in the middle of Europe's strongest industrial region. Seventeen percent of visitors came from abroad, including Turkey, Italy and Portugal, and foreign exhibitors used the trade fair to initiate and coordinate cooperation projects. One of such companies was Cavalier Tool and Manufacturing from the Windsor, Ontario, Canada, which was represented for the first time as an exhibitor at the international trade fair for tool, pattern and mold making.

This year's event again focused on the promotion of young professionals and advanced training. Steffen Ritter, a Professor at Reutlingen University, and a team of students produced the MEX give-away for the second time. It was injection molded live during the trade fair. The student were personally responsible for brainstorming, component construction, criteria catalog, mold concept and design, and they were able to learn about selling their product at Moulding Expo.

Moulding Expo 2021 will be held June 8-11. The Automotive Shows of UKi Media and Events will again be staged concurrently with Moulding Expo 2021. These events have a high affinity with tool, pattern and moldmaking. See more details at www.moulding-expo.de
