It was announced on Jan. 13 that Superior Die Set Corp. (SDS, Oak Creek, Wisconsin) Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mark Ullstrup, has decided to retire. Rodney Yeomans, director of sales will assume the VP role.
Ullstrup has been with SDS since 1981 spending his early days in mold base, moving to customer service manager and finally VP of sales. “Mark has left an enduring stamp on our business. His contribution to the organization will always be valued and remembered,” says CEO, Martin Girga. During his career, Ullstrup has contributed to the greater manufacturing community through various industry associations including time spent as a member on the Precision Metalforming Association (Independence, Ohio) board.
Rodney Yeomans has been promoted to take over the role of VP of sales and marketing. When asked about selecting Yeomans for the promotion, Girga says, “Rodney brings the right blend of outside and inside experience, and deep industry insight to help us achieve our strategic priorities. He is well suited to lead our sales and marketing team into our second century of business.”
A prominent career in manufacturing sales, Yeomans’ most notable experience comes from his time at Anchor Danly (Ontario, Canada), where he was responsible for leading its sales team in the Midwest. “I have been in manufacturing and metal forming virtually my whole life. My father and grandfather both had die shops in Michigan which I worked in throughout high school and college,” says Yeomans. Further, he has spent the last seven years working his way up at SDS starting as a sales manager, then regional sales manager where he invested time in building SDS’ dynamic sales team. The last three years Yeomans has been serving as the company’s director of sales.
In his downtime Rodney enjoys fitness through participating in triathlons and running and biking with his wife, Kelly.
