Cincinnati, Ohio has declared September 9, 2019 to be “Manufacturer’s Day” in the city. The day has been set aside to honor the contribution of U.S. machine shops to the growth and health of the country’s economy, their vast career opportunities and their application of advanced manufacturing technology. Manufacturer’s Day coincides with the opening of the third annual Top Shops Conference, an event tailored to machine shops that create complex parts and assemblies for a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, defense and medical. This year’s event is being held at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, from September 9-11.
The Top Shops Conference is presented by Modern Machine Shop magazine. For more than 90 years, Modern Machine Shop has reported on the trends and technologies that are affecting job shops and industry at large. The media brand has been headquartered in Cincinnati since its beginning in 1928.
