Makino’s 2011 Advanced Manufacturing and High-Precision Technology Expo to Feature Speakers, Demonstrations and Exhibitors

Makino’s 2011 Advanced Manufacturing and High-Precision Technology Expo is scheduled to be held Oct. 12-13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at its Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Mich. Attendees are going to have the opportunity to learn about new manufacturing processes, techniques, philosophies and strategies, vital to transforming their business for greater success in the ever-expanding global marketplace. High-precision machining demonstrations are also on tap to be displayed for a variety of industries, including tool, die, mold, medical, automotive and aerospace.

At the event, featured presenter Steve LeFever, chairman and founder of Business Resource Services, will discuss financial management education as the single greatest need for business owners across all industries. Additional presentations delivered by Makino are to cover various topics such as micromachining, EDM technologies, the new PS-series production-oriented VMCs and a metrology panel discussion.

Makino’s Technology Center is located at 2600 Superior Court, Auburn Hills, Michigan, 48326. The building is at Superior and Lapeer roads (M-24), one-mile from I-75 and M-24, off E. Walton Boulevard. Makino plans to offer in its Technology Center several presentations by its own engineers and suppliers. Topics include profitability tools, micromachining, the new PS-series and EDM technologies.

In addition to presentations, Makino is going to have 17 machining centers on display, including 3-, 4- and 5-axis vertical and horizontal machining centers, wire EDMs and sinker EDMs.

During the demonstrations, Makino’s technical staff is scheduled to be on hand to discuss Makino’s latest machining technologies, as well as provide industry-leading advice to help solve attendees’ production problems.
