iD Additives Open House Demonstrated Rust Remover Product
iD Additives hosted its first open house for its rust remover/preventative, iD Eco-Pro 360.
Friday, October 11, in Aurora, IL, iD Additives hosted its first open house for its rust remover/preventative, iD Eco-Pro 360, which is a high-performance, one-step rust remover that provides extended rust protection. Since the remover is a visual product, the company wanted to show its customers in the Aurora, IL, area how the solution and cart work together to clean cooling passages, heat exchangers, water lines, tools and more.
Technical Manager Bryan Whitaker has learned a lot about the product and how many different applications it can be used for through his training with Moldtrax, as well as many flushing demo experiences. Whitaker prepared a presentation and flushing demo for the open house, where he flushed out a heat exchanger and cooling passage. During the demo, the flow meter reading was 2.30 gallons per minute (GPM). Flow reading after was 2.51, a 9% increase in flow. The other circuit was 2.60 GPMs before and up to 2.86 GPMs after, a 10% increase in flow.
The company also provided a “Do It Yourself” station so attendees could try using the rust remover themselves to clean rust off of tools. Once the demo was finished, guests were allowed to see how the cart was working and to ask questions.
