The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) is dedicating 130,000 ft.² of exhibition and display space to Hannover Messe USA (HMUSA), the co-located North American industrial technology show at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois. HMUSA is organized and managed by Hannover Fairs USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Deutsche Messe, which organizes Hannover Messe in Germany. IMTS, the longest running manufacturing technology show in the Americas, will hold its 2018 show September 10-15.

“Co-locating Hannover Messe USA further diversifies the technologies that visitors can experience at IMTS 2018,” says Peter R. Eelman, vice president of exhibitions and business development at AMT—The Association For Manufacturing Technology, which produces IMTS. “IMTS already attracts visitors from more than 110 countries, and co-locating Hannover Messe USA further strengthens our international appeal.”

HMUSA has had a presence in the U.S. market since launching at IMTS 2012. It has increased its footprint by 44 percent and will feature approximately 500 exhibitors in the East Building. The show will demonstrate Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions, emphasizing technologies associated with predictive maintenance, more efficient use of raw materials and faster time to market.

The exhibition space and three special display areas will be located on two floors of the East Building. Level 3 will feature Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives USA, focusing on integrated automation, industrial IT, power transmission and control. The Fluid Power special display area will be located alongside it. Level 2 will feature three other co-located trade shows: ComVacUSA, Industrial Supply USA and Surface Technology USA. These shows will take place alongside the event’s Digital Factory and Industrial Energy Systems special display areas. Educational presentations will occur throughout the show floor.
