Matt McCabe, a principal of the plastics representative firm Great Lakes Machinery & Automation LLC (GLMA) and a former Wittmann Battenfeld Inc. executive, tragically passed away on January 20th in an ATV accident in Fremont, Ohio.

David Preusse, president of Wittmann Battenfeld, said, “We are all grieving the loss of our good friend and colleague.”

Matt was an 18-year veteran of the plastics industry. He started his career as a sales agent for The Turner Group before joining Wittmann in 2003 as its Regional Sales Manager in California. He was promoted to National Sales Manager in 2004 and later served under Michael Wittmann as the company’s first International Key Account Manager, traveling the world on behalf of the company.  In 2015 he moved back to Ohio and started GLMA with his business partner Mike Paeth.
