EuroMold 2013 Opens in Frankfurt, Germany

EuroMold 2013, the world fair for moldmaking and tooling, design and application development, opened today in Frankfurt, Germany, presenting state-of-the-art products and a platform for networking and discussing industry developments.

A large number of national and international decision-makers are expected to be in attendance and interact with the 1,056 exhibitors. More than 100 speakers will present and lead discussions on topics such as lightweight construction, hybrid technology, hydroforming and thermoforming, materials, and design and engineering.

Among the exhibitors will be partners from the fields of turning and milling technology, jewelry, and dental technology. Efficient development and simulation processes will be showcased, along with special exhibitions on rotational molds, as well as VDI/NCG guidelines for evaluating machine tool production quality.

Exhibitors in the joint “DigiFabb” stand at the trade fair will showcase 3D printers, accessories and related services, and will offer presentations about the current state of the art, developments and promising perspectives for this technology. Visitors to the international Terry Wohlers Conference will learn about business and investment opportunities in additive manufacturing and 3D printing, and the purmundus challenge 2013, an international competition for design in 3D printing, will recognize outstanding contributions this year.

The EuroMold Award will recognize outstanding technical innovation, and a collection of award-winning exhibits will honor many of its winners over the show’s 15-year history.
